The season at Fauglia’s Teatro Comunale begins on Saturday 4 November, with TOMMASO NOVI, (ex Gatti Mezzi) starring in Fischio la musica della mia vita, a journey through music, from Mozart to Lucio Dalla, performed with voice, piano, and… whistle.
Women are the stars of the bill: the season continues with Danila Stalteri in the role of the artist Frida Kahlo in the play Hasta siempre Frida, and continues with a bill full of big names, including CORINNE CLERY who with Francesco Branchetti interprets Il diario di Adamo ed Eva, and GAIA NANNI, the film actress who has worked alongside Pieraccioni, and who tries her hand at Gli ultimi saranno ultimi, playing all the characters in a hilarious monologue. Then the great return to the stage of Tuscan comedian KATIA BENI with Diritti o rovesci… ma pari, a swing of gags and monologues played out amid misunderstandings and misinterpretations.
Another gem is ELENA ARVIGO Non domandar di me, Marta mia, in which the actress plays Marta Abba, Luigi Pirandello’s inspirational muse who lived in Fauglia for many years. To conclude the season, Carlo Goldoni’s La locandiera, by the company that runs the theatre.
And for all opera lovers, the great opera returns, with L’Italiana in Algeri by Gioacchino Rossini.
